Notes on the preparation of quotes, market coverage and restrictions pursuant to section 60 VVG.

Notes

How do we work?

As an online insurance broker, we adopt a neutral cooperation with insurance companies. To create the products we offer, we compare quotes from different insurance companies and weigh up premiums, insurance cover and conditions against one another. Not all insurers underwrite the risks in our portfolio, e.g. international risks. As an InsurTech company, we work with insurance companies that can service the risks we tender. Where necessary, we have also concluded special agreements, rates or insurance conditions with the companies specifically for our customers, which are tailored to their special needs in an optimal way.

For this reason, we are not able to check the entire market when preparing quotes. Instead, we offer specially created products.

What limitations are there in market coverage and why?

Some insurers always work directly and do not cooperate with brokers or intermediaries. In this case, it is difficult, or even impossible, for us to obtain any information or rates. We therefore draw your attention to the fact that, when submitting quotes, we do not include companies, direct insurers or insurers with exclusive distribution that do not work with brokers. We do not offer rates where brokers are excluded as a distribution channel.

We therefore do not check the entire market, but only selected companies. We would also like to specify that some companies are not open to online sales and do not work with InsurTechs.

Our checks are therefore limited to the insurer market accessible to us.

What are the territorial restrictions of the providers?

We broker insurance contracts in accordance with German law (VVG) and work primarily with insurance companies who have their headquarters or an office in Germany, so that place of jurisdiction can be arranged in Germany in the event of disputes.

When preparing a quote, we do not check all insurance companies operating in the European Economic Area. When procuring insurance cover, we limit ourselves to quotes from insurance companies who have their headquarters or an office in Germany and can set out their conditions and policies in German or English, and whose policies are governed by German law.

What are the restrictions in insurance types?

Our speciality is commercial insurance in the B2C sector. Our services are limited to the insurance segments offered on our online platform, e.g. road traffic insurance. We are constantly expanding our portfolio.

However, we do not offer personal insurance, such as statutory health insurance, social security insurance or pension insurance, and we do not provide any advice regarding these. We also do not offer advice regarding financial services, investment opportunities or other similar matters. Any requests for offers outside of our portfolio are always non-binding.
